AIB territorial prevention plans
The succession of extreme weather conditions and inadequate forest management are among the main causes of the occurrence of large forest fires with increasing severity and bring out the need for forest fire planning on a territorial scale.
The AIB Territorial Prevention Plans identify the necessary interventions, evaluated through the study of local historical fires, weather analysis, resources and AIB works on the territory, trying to optimize the interventions in function of the rationalization of resources, local socio-economic and landscape aspects and to preserve the territory from hydrogeological problems especially in sensitive areas. The contribution of local technicians allows to develop the most appropriate and functional planning approach to the territory.
