Drafting of management plans for Natura 2000 sites in the Province of Benevento

“The Natura 2000 Network (established under Directive 92/43/EEC “Habitat”) is the main instrument of the European Union policy for the conservation of biodiversity. It is a Community-wide ecological network whose objective is the long-term maintenance of habitats and species of conservation interest. The identification of correct management guidelines allows to maintain or restore the balance between human activities and the needs of biodiversity conservation.

DREAM coordinates the preparation of management plans and carries out the following specific activities:

• monitoring of the conservation status of animal species of conservation interest on the site;
• analysis of the forest structure and definition of forestry trends;
  definition of conservation objectives and management guidelines.”
