Objective, Surface and Integrated Company Controls

Objective checks for the verification of area aids provided for by EU Regs. 1305-1306-1307/2013, as well as of the measures provided for by the 2014-2020 Rural Development Programmes defined by the above-mentioned Regs. (EU), Delegated Reg. (EU) 640/2014 and Implementing Reg. (EU) 809/2014, were carried out on sample farms in the provinces of Basilicata, Marche, Tuscany and Sardinia.

Controls are of the following types:

• Surface inspections, carried out following separate stages of photo-interpretation of declared plots, field inspections on dubious plots, and adversarial meetings with farm owners;
• Integrated Farm Controls, carried out by means of farm visits to verify compliance with the criteria, commitments and obligations for the areas of Cross Compliance, Animal Husbandry and Rural Development.
