Production and processing of Kentucky tobacco for the production of cigars under the brand TOSCANO®

The Integrated Supply Chain Project involved, with measure 4.2, the qualitative improvement of Kentucky tobacco production with a lowering of costs and an optimization of production factors.

Thanks to measures 4.1.3, the beneficiary companies purchased state-of-the-art equipment and were able to renovate production buildings such as warehouses, rubbers and dryers.

Measure 16.2, on the other hand, concerned soil conservation and adversity control with low environmental impact techniques, thanks to the project Ta.Ke.To – Tobacco Toscano: quality production and sustainable agronomic practices in respect of the cultivation environment.

The coordination of the Supply Chain project and its development up to the final reporting were carried out by D.R.E.Am. Italia.
